Slow Cooker Corned Beef & Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 (4 pound) Corned Beef
  • 4 cups Water
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Fresh Ground Pepper
  • 5 Carrots (peeled & chopped)
  • 10 Baby Red Potatoes
  • 1 lg Onion (peeled & chopped)
  • 1/2 head Cabbage (coarsely chopped)


Directions

Step 1

Put the water, beef broth, spice pack (that came with the corned beef) and seasonings in the crock pot; mix well, then add the Corned Beef. Cook on low for 4 hrs.

Step 2

Add the vegetables (excluding the cabbage) and cook for an additional 4 1/2 hrs.

Step 3

Take the meat out to rest and add the cabbage. Cook for an additional 30 minutes.

Step 4

Serve with your favorite mustard. If you can find it, Bone Suckin’ makes a fantastic one.
